I was born in Lecce on the 9th August 2002, I live in San Pietro in Lama, I’m in the third year of high school specializing in modern languages. About one year and a half ago I started flying a drone thanks to my father, who has always loved model aircrafts. He made me try one for therapeutic purposes, because I’m affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy of type 2. I’m in love with drones since then. I’m confined to a wheelchair and for this reason flying a drone is very important to me, because it’s the only way for me to move and run at high speed. A couple of months later I started flying in FPV. In August 2017 I participated to my first race as “LeoOnFire” (my nickname) taking the 12th place. The emotions and the adrenaline I felt made me want to fly even more and continue doing this sport. I’m fond of races and motors in general, one of my passions is the MotoGP, which I’ve been following on TV for about two years, and I’m a big fan of Valentino Rossi. I got the FAI licence this year, so I’m going to participate to the FAI Italian Championship races and to the Wide World Championship in Shenzhen in November.
